Meet the team

Educational Director:-Joanna Jones

Joanna Jones began her career in dentistry as a dental nurse in 1987 in Staffordshire. She trained and qualified in the national examination in 1988 and thoroughly enjoyed working in a variety of dental settings including NHS, private and the community service for a total of seven years.
Joanna currently works as a dental hygienist/therapist working part time in two private dental clinics. She qualified as a Dental Hygienist from King's College London in 1995 and later into her career gained the additional qualification of Dental Therapist from the Royal London Dental School.
A passion for education led her to complete a BA with Hons in post compulsory education and she teaches in a variety of environments. The majority of her teaching career was spent working at King's Dental School, London where she rose through the ranks to work as the deputy principal of the School of Hygiene and Therapy.
She has had numerous articles published and consults with dental companies to advise on professional issues. Her lecture skills have been used to speak regionally and nationally to a variety of dental professionals.

Clinical Director:-Mhari Coxon

Mhari Coxon started her dental career as a Dental Nurse in 1992 in her home town of Troon. Gaining her nursing qualification in February 1994, she applied and was accepted to Kings College on the dental hygiene diploma course. She qualified from Kings Dental Institute in 1996 and continued her connection working clinically as part of the periodontal department. After a break to have her three children, she returned to GKT as a clinical tutor. Since 2005 she moved to working full time clinically in Private Practice in central London.
Mhari writes for Dental Tribune regularly, has had several articles published on various subjects, and lectures regionally, nationally and recently internationally. She was Probe Awards Dental Hygienist of the year in 2006 and highly commended in 2010. Mhari supports the BSDHT as part of the publishing committee of Dental Health, was BSDHT London groups' chairman 2006-2010, and was elected council member of the BSDHT in 2006 and 2007

Clinical Educator:-Kimberly Wingrove

Kimberly Wingrove has been a Dental Nurse for over 15 years. In this time she has worked in NHS practices in one of the poorest boroughs of London and Private practices in London's west end. She feels privileged to have been chosen to work with some of the leading restorative dentists and oral surgeons throughout her career.
Kimberly is an integral part of the dental team at the Fresh Breath centre where she has worked for the past nine years; in which time her role has expanded considerably.
Kimberly has been able to develop her role in the practice through in house training and external courses and works a triage system with general dentist, oral surgeon and hygienist; taking impressions, providing oral health advice and education, fluoride therapy and interviewing and carrying out risk assessments. She is also the practices Cross Infection Supervisor.
She has written articles previously for Nursing Journals. Kimberly was highly commended in the dental Nurse of the Year Category at the Probe dental awards 2010
