Looking back at 2009
2009 saw us increase the number of road shows, stretching out further across the UK.

This year also saw us have Richard Snoad as our guest speaker at some of our meetings. He discussed treatment planning and it was interesting to see this area of our day to day practice from a specialist's point of view. When he was unavailable, Mhari took on this role, with great feedback from delegates.

By popular demand, Joanna Jones tailored her radiographical knowledge to periodontal issues and refreshed our understanding of what we are looking at and the importance of good interpretation.
Finishing off the morning, Mhari Coxon looked at motivational interviewing and behavioural change, providing food for thought for everyone.

Delegates in Nottingham had the added bonus of Carmel Maher talking about cross infection. We were so impressed; we have asked her to join the team for our 2010 road shows.

The afternoon was again a series of workshops including, sharpening, ultrasonic instrumentation, radiography, probing and exploring and oral health care.

Once again, the feedback showed that we are getting the mix right and we all enjoyed the positive feeling at every meeting.

2009 was the year CPDforDCP extended their training programmes to include dental nurses. And we loved it! The enthusiasm at these hands on days was great. Every delegate took home skills to develop their role and increase practice revenue; a win win situation for everyone! We are looking forward to 2010.
